This is a very quick-and-dirty preliminary version of a transcription of some of the files on the Clearwater Police Department's CD of documents collected when investigating the death of Lisa McPherson.

This page will be updated to make it more presentable, to provide additional transcriptions, and to attempt to make sure everyone who worked on these files is credited properly.

Thanks for your patience.

what's done so far?
all of it!

Danger
1st Dynamic

1. Bypass habits & normal routines

A) knock off the idea of just doing enuf to get by
B) _Push_ to keep baskets in PT
C) re-implement "Doing Work"

2. Handle the situation and any danger in it

   get pending basket in PT
   make sure stats done correctly
   get backlogged letters caught up

3. Assign self a danger condit
   done
4. Get in your own personal ethics

I found out what I was doing that was out ethics was not doing stats
correctly and being slack about it

FSO 01886

CWPD image: 5643.tif

               2

I've kept stats correctly and gotten honest and straight.

I wrote up a false report on myself for turning in a report that was
false as to what I'd done on my intro services mult

5. Reorganize your life so that the dangerous situation is not
continually happening to you.

I have stayed until the stats are all done _correctly_.

This will be done in the future.

Also, I got Winona to agree to help out two days a week so more outflow
can occur and I can get stats done without staying real late

6. Formulate and adopt firm policy:

FSO 01888

               3

1. That stats be done correctly
2. policy that when I allow myself to go out ethics I am killing myself
3. When reach in any area of my production is down look for OW's and get
them cleaned up

for real this time. For my own sake. And to get back on track.

3. Make up the damage done ...

Damage done was: let letters (receipts to book-buyers) stack up

didn't apply conditions and caused DEV T to my Sr.

   A) Friday _after_ post went home & wrote 32 letters (with receipts)
   B) Sunday night 12-28-86 after post I EP'd the backlog by writing 83
letters.
   C) After post one night I stayed here til 1:00 A or so typing up
cards for addresso as that area was back-logged (I type cards of
bookbuyers and addresso makes plates off my cards) this took about 2
hours.

[the following paragraph was entirely crossed out:]
   D) Last night after post I wrote up my post condition.

I was filing CF folders today & came across some NNCF folders. 3 folders
were letter size folders. I made it clear to Lisa with dispatches &
verbally that I won't accept letter-size CF folders in the files - prior
to this incident many particles to be filed in CF are legal size & there
is an abundance of legal-size folders. I saw to it so that it would be
completely unnecessary that letter size got used.

She sent me more to file which I sent back to her to [illegible].

The advance purchase of invoices from Optimum Press purchase order and

While working to handle a backlog in CF, I ran into over 30 duplicates
generated from the 6A dept. This cost 25-30 plates, duplicate CF folders
and duplicate cards and more than likely an uncaught false report on the
NNCF stat. 6A types up folders from the invoices so that they can count
on the NNCF stat. It was necessary since the CF post is unfilled. Due to
the amount of errors & waste, this system needs to be modified so that
it is more efficient. It also generated added unnecessary work for me to
get CF in PT & usable.

I can certainly understand the upset I've created. I never once have
shown Julia any reference to help her out. Instead I've just hit her
with my charge and expected her to "know" why I was being antago. I
expected her to be able to observe the obvious - an incorrect assumption

Today I was heading back to HCO after leaving Roy a message and walked

of her business if I am or not. I wouldn't have written this, but
questions such as that one mentioned and others which for some reason I
take as personal hits ie., "You're wearing jeans today?", or simple
phrases meant to help, "That ashtray looks like shit.", are constantly
coming from her in my direction. I don't know why, but I don't find it
comfortable at all. It really hurts sometimes.

This is an update report on the problem still occuring with the
replacement cycle the former PCS CC Dallas, Lisa Skonetski did with
current PCS-FDN, Susan Gardiner.

The incomplete hat turnover is still rearing it's ugly head as the
PCS-FDN CC Dallas was found to not even know what the intro service
[???] was when I attempted to put it in last week.

About 2 weeks, ago, the PCS-FDN missed several days of work due to her
continuous sickness. This has been prevalent since she's been on staff
and it cleared up some right before the transfer occurred but is now
back. Continuous PTS handling is, as has been, occuring by this [???].

The PTS sits with her family and her current 2D regarding her pregnancy
are still there and are requiring constant handling. The former PCS told
me that the pregnancy/2D PTS sit was handled before she left for CC INT.

The situation became more complicated when the PCS-FDN got fired from
her job due to missing work time at wog job from [???] /illness).

                                              2

I'm constantly having to [???] a Phase I [???]. I had to change a
working installation where the former PCS did the [???] all the way
through the eval of OCA and she bridged the public to the reg TO the
current PCS-FDN now [???] is [???] up TO the eval and bridged to my PSS
OR Dir Pub Reg & to the eval PS she is not competantly hatted to do
evals. This pulls my PSS off his post and the Dir Pub Reg as well and
effected first starts and new [???] first starts as EVALUATION SCRIPT is
now not in & that was successful, new [???] as the PSS has less time to
work on those reg ints.

This has had a significant effect on the production levels of 6A & 6B.

I also found that the PCS-FDN was not sufficiently hatted OR drilled on
8C and HANDLING THE PUBLIC INDIVIDUAL which is effecting new people in.

                This is all for now,

The post of PCS was left to me quite suddenly. The former PCS knew well
in advance that she would be leaving, but never saw to it that any form
of handling was taken to get the Dir Intro Service grooved into her
post. The Div 6-A area has been in a condition of cope for some time -
partly due to the fact the DPC is pregnant and not handling that area.

When the PCS decided to leave, she spent about 1 1/2 hours total w/ me
explaining some of the things I would be responsible for. She said I
already knew how to do most of it, so it would be no problem. I have
never at this point even been drilled on doing evals - which is a MAJOR
function of this post. One of my concerns was the hours, as I am
pregnant, also. The PCS assured me I should be out of the org by 11:30
at the latest. I then brought up ad council and she told me that had
been handle.

I have now not gotten out of the org before midnight, and am required to
attend ad council until all hours. - The fact is - I am not physically
capable of these hours.

To top all this, I have a new, temporary Dir Intro Services who was also
told some half-truth's about his post and has written this up, also.

This was very poor planning and leaves me quite desperate for help.

Lisa used to be my roommate in an apartment in Los Angeles and agreed to
pay $200.00 @ month rent. She also signed a contract to that effect.

On or about the 16 of July she decided to move back to Dallas. I
informed her there was a 30 day advance notice to vacate and that she
will owe $100.00. She agreed to pay it plus $36.55 owed me for long
distance, etc.

The last letter I received from her dated 3 September, she said she did
not know who to pay the $100.00 to, and that she was sending me the
balance as soon as she was paid that Friday. I wrote her again informing
her that she owed me the money and that she was more than welcome to
check with the Manager of the Apartment that such amount was paid by me.

I still have not received anything from her.

such a report to be filed.

My last comm cycle w/ Barbara (about 4 months or so ago) I asked her to
go and speak with David about the matter to determine exactly WHAT the
reasons were for her termination. I was not involved in the decision
therefore I didn't know ALL the details. I knew if she had done this,
there would be no reason for this report as it could easily be cleared

TO: DIRECTOR OF INSPECTIONS AND REPORTS
FROM: SANDI PORTER
  RE: FSM COMMISSION

I have been Lisa Skonetski's FSM since the beginning. I have selected
her for the majority of her services in Scientology. I recently selected
Lisa for processing. Her Grades were her next action on the Grade Chart.
I talked with her on May 1, 1968, filled out a selection slip and mailed
it to Vinnie Simone at the Southwest Mission. Lisa started her auditing
on May 29, 1986. I called and talked with Vinnie to inquire about the
FSM Commission. He explained that there was a dispute over "who" should
get the FSM Commission, that he would need to do some further checking
and call me back. I never heard from anyone, so I called Vinnie and he
said he had turned the cycle over to Force to handle. I called Force. He
explained that David Slaughter, Lisa's employer, had selected her for
the How To Achieve Your Goals Course and that Lisa was not completed
with that course yet, so that any further services that Lisa paid for
would be considered selected by David Slaughter. He also explained that
the commission had already been paid to David. I explained that David
did not discuss or talk with Lisa about her Grades. He said he
understood, but because he had selected Lisa for the course and that she
had not completed it that the commission actually goes to David. I ask
if there was a policy that he used to make that decision. He said yes
and mailed me the following:

HCO POLICY LETTER OF 9 MAY AD15RA
REVISED AND REISSUED 14 JANUARY 1968
                   REISSUED 30 APRIL 1979

               FIELD AUDITORS BECOME STAFF
               ___________________________

I have read the above Policy and I feel that it has been applied
incorrectly. I feel that I was the FSM on this cycle.

I would greatly appreciate your help in solving this dispute!

This AM as I was rounding up the stats I found:

1. 2 NNCFs from last nite not typed up
2. 2 possible NNCFs in Lisa Cameron's basket in which I had no data as

3. Found numerous BIs not counted ie new [???] Purif folks, qual folks &

To get all this data rounded up & handled caused me considerable Dev-T.

Last nite Lisa & I completed filling out the 6A stats & I told her that
the only thing left to do was to type the labels for the folders so that
the NNCF would be just that per stat definition.

She questioned, "didn't Carol Ayres do it?" I said to check it out as it
needs to be done.

Today, I found out it wasn't done & I had to do it quickly as the stat
was in. This endangers my job as it creates a false report & causes

Despite many 2WC cycles w/ Lisa she has since taking post of PCD
continued to submit [crossed out: approved] purchase orders for mail
list that are incomplete -> "no zip code"!

This has been a continual dev-T for me EVERY WEEK. Instead of being able
to order the mailing list on Fri and pick it up on my Monday purchase
run I have to wait until Monday (after getting zip from her over
weekend) to order. This maeks for a "SPECIAL" RUN DOWNTOWN on Tues or
Wed plus the EXTRA GASOLINE usage & time lost.

Thur. eve 20 Mar at Advisory Council during FF discussion I again 2/WC
and per that 2WC she wrote on her P.O. for mail list to "Continue last
zip" - Great! A solution. Next day (Fri 21 Mar) I called in the order
for mail list & told supplier "to continue last zip." Forty five minutes
later vendor called back and stated insufficient names left in last zip
to cover our present order - PCD's solution has become a dev-T problem.

1) Bypass habits or normal routines

I spent time drilling w/ Lisa C on Monday (or Tuesday) for phone
contacts to get her patter more exact and tone 40. I made an effort to
make more phone calls myself to ensure people woul arrive as from the
stats, the % of people arriving was slim. I made certain graphs got
posted so stats could be monitored & conditions assigned. I re-called a
couple of people that Cameron called to get the string pulled and the
person handled.

2) Handle the sit. and any danger in it.

Partly in bypass this occurred somewhat because when a person didn't get
scheduled, or some sit didn't resolve I just personally handled it as
best I could. Also by recognizing I could schedule people more I spent
more time on the phones.

I did an O/W write up and saw how I wasn't confronting people like I

Lisa called me last night & said that if Don gave the Church any
trouble, then she would get a refund, use the $ to divorce him, and then
do a/g to get back in Scn. She told Don that, & she figured that wld
hold him off. And that she wld try to get Don in to talk to me tonight.

This morning Don called me & said he'd talked to two judges & he was
prepared to go to court & that he & Lisa were coming in tonight for a
refund.

Then Lisa called me, said she'd just talked to Don & that she was coming
by tonight herself for a refund. I told her that if she did she'd be
ineligible for further courses, & her reply indicated to me that she
hadn't much reach for Scn anyway. Like "well that's the way it will have
to be" ... She said she wanted to keep Don out of the picture (for the
stated purpose of keeping him off our lines so we won't be bothered but
the way she has acted so far here it looks to me like she wants to
attack Don & not take resp for it - that she wants Scn to take the blame

Also she started attacking me for not wanting to give her a refund -
like here was this hostility that she'd never shown before.

I believe that all along she has had other intentions than she stated
for doing Scn. She "wanted to handle her marriage" but it's been worse
since she's been in Scn - although we were getting some glowing reports
from her.

I talked to Don for quite awhile & got him cooled off on Scn by pointing
out what she was doing. (She was also a 3P

Don's still hot on her receiving the refund since now that she moved out

up her car payment.

I asked her later what she was copying and she said "some reports". I
asked if the copies were paid for and she said that she was doing this
for Lorre (Seymour) and Lorre had some credit for copier use. I asked if
she had gotten w/ David and she hadn't. I told her to get w/ him so he'd
know and she did. Later I asked David about the cycle and he said that
Lisa by-passed the lines and did not

wasn't certain whether he needed collect on this or not.

This was DEV-T for me in that I had to find out what was going on and
Dev-T for David in that he was by-passed on the cycle.

was held to benefit two children's charities, Bryan's
House, a home for children born with AIDS and the Texas
Scottish Rite Hospital for Children which provides free
medical care for children with major disabilities. In
addition to providing these charities with much needed
funds, this sale helps to safe-point the Church of
Scientology.
The following people donated items to be sold at this
event and contributed their time to make this event a
success. They did call-out prior to the event to get people
to contribute their unwanted items, helped to set up the
event by sorting and price-tagging the merchandise, and/or
worked during the event itself. Over $3200.00 was raised!
Thank you very much!

                   Lisa McPherson

Lisa took on several posts for our June 8th Dianetics Seminar event.

She fully handled all the confirms off the 1-800 line (which amounted to
handling over 100 calls and people and resulted in 73 raw public
attending the event.

She also took over at the last minute coordinating the OCA Sign-Up table
which resulted in 10 evals being set up.

Further, she acted as receptionist and bodyrouting throughout the event.

Lisa can always be counted on to take on a project and follow-through
with it.

An event of this type could not have occurred without her help and
leadership.

                        Lisa McPherson

Lisa is highly commended for her contribution to the success of the past
weekend's FSM Events with Al Kapuler Friday evening and Malcolm Levine's
Introduction to Dianetics and Scientology lecture Saturday evening.

Lisa spent many hours over a number of weeks organizing the call-in and
ticket sales for these events. She did an incredible job of contacting
the field and getting them to participate in these activities. The
attendance Friday evening was 76, the attendance Saturday evening was
91. We are very pleased with the interest shown by the field.

Lisa was in charge of reception for both evenings and did a great job
under some tough circumstances.

The events were very well attended with Lisa's efforts toward expanding
our field activities and furthering Scientology to raw public in the
Dallas area. Thank you, Lisa!

Much Love,

                Lisa McPherson

Last night Lisa came into my office with Sandi Sampson, a student
on lines and friend of hers. Lisa started to go into something that was
apparently mishandled concerning the [???] paid to this org by CCINT on
her freeloader debt. I cut Lisa off on this as it was off-line and I
already knew that she had gotten with both the Div 2 Reg and the Treas
Sec on the same matter before coming to my office. I also told her that
her reference was PL FIELD AUDITOR'S BECOME STAFF. When I cut her off,
she got HE&Ry and basically making a scene as if she were a wog and
didn't know any better. Lisa was once on staff both here and in the SO
and had done her Staff Status II.
In later getting with both the reg and the Treas Sec, I found that
they had both referred Lisa to the same policy and her basically told
her the same thing I did. She ignored this and came to my office anyway.
I am curious as to why Lisa was the one on the line in the first place,
since she was the one the commission was paid on, not to. If anyone, it
should have been Sandi on the line, not Lisa, per the same reference.

Lisa is to be commended for her contributions to the Dianetics
Introductory Lecture hosted by the OT committee in April.

Lisa held the post of Call In i/c and did an excellent job of
coordination and execution. Without her help we could not have been near
as successful as we were. Lisa by far contributed more than her share of
energy to this endeavor.

Because of contributions such as hers we will reach our goals for St.

Lisa had set up and handled the registration of sixty two people the

Dear Sirs,

I am writing to you in regards to the "More Information Cards" that you
had routinely published and distributed as a donation to assist Narconon
Chilocco.

My post is the Finance Director for ABLE International. We promote and
consult the organizations that get the Social Betterment Technology of
L. Ron Hubbard into broad use in Society. Narconon is such an
organization and Narconon-Chilocco is the largest Narconon project we
are involved with currently.

One of my standard functions as the Finance Director is to do regular
analyses of promotion as it relates to the income of the organizations
we are associated with. I have just recently completed such a promotion
analysis that covers the last two years.

On completion of this it was clear to me that the "More Information
Cards" that you distribute for Narconon Chilocco contribute well to the
income of Narconon. Of particular note were mailings of 40,000 or more
cards in one week's time. This was normally followed (on an approximate
6 week delay) by an increase in income. More dramatic increases in
income followed (on an approximate 6-week delay) mailings of 100,000 or
more cards in one week's time. Additionally noted was the fact that the
areas and clientele you mail to result in professionals and other
persons receiving information on Narconon that are not normally reached
by our own promotion. It is felt that this aided the increase in income
as well.

CWPD image: 5818.tif

                             -2-

Your executives and staff are Highly Commended for the contributions you
have made to Narconon's success by sending out these information cards.

It is my hope that this promotion can once again be done, and be
continued regularly, as it is of aid in creating a society that is free
from the scourge of drug abuse, and the crime that drug abuse sometimes
generates.

Any efforts extended to bring this about will be greatly appreciated.

                            Sincerely,

Lisa has had two targets re getting ads placed for the DN SEMINAR AND
HDA CRS IMPLEMENTATION program that have been assigned to do since we
started running the program in mid-Jun. They still have not been done.

The targets are:

OT 4, which states: "Immediately place the new Dn Seminar radio ad which
was sent to you from CMU. Submit a PO for the expenses you need and
ensure you have enough to run the ad daily several times, throughout the
week. Get the money approved and the ad placed. REF: SOED 2137-6-17 YOUR
BASIC PUBLIC DIVISIONS PROMITION AND ADVERTISEMENT PROGRAM."

OT 5, which states: "Place at least 2 newspaper ads to get public in for
Dn Seminars. Get a PO submitted and approved and ads placed. (Copies of
newspaper ads have been sent to you by CMU.) REF: HCO PL 10 FEB 65 AD
AND BOOK POLICIES."

These targets are a vital part of getting this route implemented
successfully, and would increase the flow of new people in. They need to
get done fast.

A list of missing bodies in the shop was done today. Out of basic
courses there are currently 46 missing students 11 of which are celebs.
The BIS is crashed for this week. Student attendance has been 5 or 6 per
day in basic courses. This endangers my job as well as the overall
viability of the org.

RPEC correction:

1.) Demoed conditions in Qual & went over examples of conditions on

2.) I know I have - relates to using tape-recorders covertly. Some sort
of espionage. I was making someone else use recorder covertly & then got

3.) Lowest condition? Treason or confusion to mankind. Confusion on 4th

Lisa had comm with Gene re handling their finances. They agreed to
return a bunch of purchases that they made & also to sublease the car,
in preparation for them handling their debts & the LIsa coming on
full-full time staff. There was no upset with this on Gene's part. Lisa
also told him that she was sure that if the personal finance lines were
that weird, the org lines were off too. She ordered him to get his
ethics in there and he agreed.

We went over the section on overrun from RPEC & I told her to go ahead &
write up treason, but to be aware that overrun is possible & to let me

Lisa totally bogged down on doubt. Her indicators came in when I

that she felt very massy and couldn't just get the win back. She was
yawning profusely. She is very afraid of not confronting something &

She then said something on the order of "He didn't save any for staff"

On Sunday the New People In statistic was crashed. The ED spotted an
incorrect posting of Kay as D/PCS I/T when she primarily was doing
public contact work.

This was corrected with my consent and with Kay & Lisa's agreement also.
The new posting index has not come out yet however it is extremely
important that Kay do her non-e rapidly so as to move up the conditions
& expand her area; and that Lisa apply Danger Condition until such time
that she is fully running with the ball.

Both should write these up. Kay should route hers to Lisa & Lisa route
hers to [???] promotion.

It looks like stationery used as scratch paper or something. Since other
documents, including No Report and Late Report documents, appear to have
been written on cut-up scraps of fliers for women's apparel, it seems
probable that the paper was obtained from either a neighboring business
or a Scientologist-owned business, so I'm including the letterhead

                           Danger

1. Bypass habits or normal routines

Basically we wound up in danger by misassigning the wrong condition! In
doing this many things happened: I went into a weird think and stopped
senioring the area, we remocked everything which caused chaos on calling
people in, my junior did not have me as a terminal to itsa to on various
cycles, quotas were not assigned, people did not yet confirmed regularly
causing a 50% fall off of those scheduled.

So ... the first thing on this step is we spotted the correct conditions
we should have applied.

I put my hat back on as Senior.

I got back in comm w/ Kay as a terminal, got people confirmed

2. Handle the situation and any Danger in it -

The prospects were put back into the correct categories

I made time to 2W Comm w/ Kay

FSO 01493

CWPD image: 5950.tif

                       - 2 -

on her contacts to ensure she was doing okay

I put Diane on the phones calling in out of town prospects

Kay and I got our case off the line and put our attention back on public

I came in early Web & Thurs and made calls to sched. people in

3. Assign self a Danger condition

I did this

4. Get in your own personal ethics

- my out ethics was introverting on what Kay would think of me and not
being willing to order her

I went into Kay's valence by allowing my own personal organize go out
the bottom and dramatized her confusion

I was unwilling to control the area

FSO 01495

CWPD image: 5951.tif

                       - 3 -

I have since corrected this which is evidenced by the flows opening back
up.

5. Reorganize your life so the dangerous situation is not continually
happening to you.

Get quotas assigned daily, DIRECT the area myself.

I have also gone and reorganized the calling so Kay schedules local and
Diane calls out of town folks

6. Formulate and adopt firm policy

This is that I am the Sr and I do direct and control it.

Run the area according to the condition and not personal considerations
or anything else.

a done (ie send letter instant not reached by phone) thus leaving
attention on more people instead of having stuck attention out on people
not reached.

Says she's PTS to Gene & finance scene. 70K in debts for her auditing
over past 3 yrs. She make 70K in 1986. She sees this as an out-point.
Agreement on 2D is that Gene has the final word on e/z. She agreed to
this also but now sees how this is a PTS set-up. Agreement is that
split-up is not ever an option. Yet he feels if they did ever split he'd
easily be able to find another. She doesn't feel she could. He did have
2D sits w/ FBO in L.A. & Janice from FLAG. N/g done w/ it just 2D ints &
him not discouraging it. Lisa now wants to come on ful-ful time. They
discussed this past weekend. He opposed it saying not possible - how wld
bills be paid. She feels purpose would do it. Also that his necessity
level will never come up as he always has $ cuz she works. But she's not
playing that game. She's not making enough now deliberately.

CWPD image: 5965.tif

                        ( 3 )

This is now paid back out of commissions from her previous job which
came in.

Lisa wants this data to go up lines as she feels whatever he went to get
handled in December isn't handled.

With regards to money sit this month Gene commented to her he could make
$ fixing a public's air conditioner on his car.

She's told him that before he can buy more clothes HE needs ot make some
$.

She (Lisa) feels she can't handle it alone. Feels very much the effect
of it. Feels the outcome if she holds her guns on this is that they'd
split up & she's not willing to do this.

She now feels she can get in comm w/ him & be more at cause that way. I
see a potential marriage handling possibly needed but wait until she
comms w/ him.

                    Lisa Skonetski

Since December of 1987 when I quit working for Atlantic Financial I have
had two jobs, neither of which panned out. I found myself spending more
and more time at the org, which is where I wanted to be. Some time ago,
around October of 87 I realized there was no reason why the org could
not make enough money to support itself and that it was mainly going to
require the purpose of doing it and then just do it. This is what I
truly want to occur since this time all efforts to make money myself
personally otherwise has failed.

My personal debt is roughly 40,000. Monthly this amounts to about
1600.00. I am married to the FBO who has been on full time staff for 11
years. We incurred this large debt for my Bridge during a time when I
was making 5000.00 a month. We squandered a lot of my earnings away and

CWPD image: 5967.tif

continued to borrow large sums to pay for my auditing. For a long time
Gene (my husband) made about 100-150.00 per week at the org by selling
books. This has ceased since about 6 mos. ago. For the most part, the
responsibility of earning enough money has been solely mine since he
accepted the post of FBO the org has never made enough to even cover
half of our debts. Control of our funds has primarily rested with Gene.
For short periods I have assumed it but always turning it back over to
him.

I have never completely controlled or been willing to control the money.
The mock up which I created was Gene would always have the final word on
all decisions. He has done very well too.

I realized today that I had allowed this situation to occur and have
never taken responsibility to really change it. After quitting my last
job which was last week I decided what I really wanted to do was to come
on staff full time and demand income

CWPD image: 5968.tif

from the org. I knew in doing this there would be opposition from Gene.
On Saturday night we got in comm about what I was going to do with
regard to a job. I told him my true purpose was to be on staff and make
the org make money and I didn't see any reason why this couldn't occur.
He pointed out some valid points. First, that in order for the org to
make sufficient money to support our personal debts, it would be on a
gradient. Training and drilling staff. The FSM's to be activated again
as 4 of our top producing FSM's have recently moved to California. He
basically pointed out that it wasn't something which could occur in 2
weeks, which would be necessary to get our bills handled.

I told him I could understand but all I was operating off of was the
major pluspoint was purpose and that I didn't read where any of these
other factors really applied. He pointed out that there are specific
programs which [illegible]

FSO 01526

CWPD image: 5969.tif

the org to make money. My rebuttal was the same.

Because of my unwillingness to handle him we ended up with an ARC break
and due to the late hour [?]30 AM mended this but never EP'd the cycle.

I personally feel that as long as I earn enough money to meet our
personal debts, there never will be a demand from Gene to make the org
make money.

I also realized just in writing this up that I am grossly PTS to him in
this regard.

I need help in getting this fixed.

                   Lisa Skonetski

Lisa the PCS did not do her computerized Report Forms on time this past
week. So, she was then to Fed-X it out on Saturday. This was dev-T
enough. But then it didn't get done.

Today the Data Aide put down the order that it had to be tlx-d up
tonight. So the COPE (Dir Comm FFA) spent one hour doing this.

This was loss of his production time and is not OK with me.

Lisa did not have her computerized report form done by Friday. She knew
she had to Fed Ex it out so that it would be in LA today. This was not
done. I had to telex the entire report up which took over an hour of my
production time. This is Dev-T and not okay.

--> Ethics
<-- PES

Handle the situation and any Danger in it.

The SITUATION is that I have not looked at and followed ruthlessly the
correct application of the CORRECT condition! Ditto my Jr. I spot s/g,
which is obviously a step of a condition I should apply (although I
never see it as that) and get all hyped up about it and take off like a
rocket - then never consider I'm "applying" s/g and get on track, but
just roll along. The SOLE reason I crash is because I don't get what
comes next!

So ... to handle this - first I alert my jr. of this situation _done_

Get her to look at where she is at on the condition and get busy right
away to turn it around by applying the correct condition! Bring home to
her what was brought home to me -

By applying conditions - it keeps

FSO 01572

CWPD image: 5997.tif

                       ( 2 )

purpose in. And by continuing to correctly apply conditions, it brings
one closer to the ideal scene - which is of course one's purpose.
Because we don't just want to do enough to "get by." We want to fucking
rock and roll. CONDITIONS ENABLES ONE TO DO THIS!!! They keep you
expanding and moving closer to the purpose.

3) Assign self a danger condition
I am in danger!

4) Get in your own personal ethics ...

Ok - so my out ethics has been not applying conditions but rather being
on the think that I have some sort of "magic" and that I don't have to
do anything in particular because I just have this "ability." Knowing
that, this so called "ability" is in actuality merely stumbling over
something in the condition! And then when the stat crashes I sit in awe
wondering what the fuc happened!

FSO 01574

CWPD image: 5998.tif

                      ( 3 )

So this step is easy. I just get busy and apply conditions!

5) Reorganize your life so that the dangerous situation is not
continually happening to you.

Ok - easy street!

Each night when I meet w/ Kay, we LOOK at what we do, what condition we
apply to keep our stats rocketing. We see what step we have done and
what's next on the list. Then our BP's totally align with the correct
condition!

6) Formulate and adopt firm policy that will hereafter detect and
prevent the same situation from continuing to occur.

The policy is this:

If what we are doing is not getting a product we instantly stop and pull
out an ISE book to see what we have

FSO 01576

CWPD image: 5999.tif

missed! And we look until we are VGI's and back on purpose. We get help
instantly if we get bogged at all!

[This is simply an information sheet about adjustable rate mortgages.
Its source is not shown. I speculate that it may have been included in
Lisa's ethics file either because of her high personal debt (perhaps
this related to a loan she took out), or because she at one time worked
for Atlantic Financial (maybe this was an Atlantic Financial document).
No explanation is provided on the form itself.]

will quote only portions of it, and I have added commentary to the bits
I've quoted. Since the document is not signed, I'm not sure what its
relevance is to Lisa's case.]

I agree to participate in the following service offered by the Hubbard
Dianetics Foundation:

______________________________
          (Service)

 ...

As Dianetics technology deals with the human soul, it is religious in
nature. However, Dianetics technology can be practiced by people of all
religious beliefs.

[Note that they don't use the word "compatible" here. They do withhold
the information that practice of some Dianetics practices, such as being
encouraged to recall events from past lives, is incompatible with the
religious beliefs of many religious groups.]

I understand that any benefits which I derive from participation in the
Service will be spiritual and can be realized only as the result of
exact adherence to and understanding of the materials. In other words, I
will get out of the Service that which I put in.

[This paragraph accomplishes several things:

* it indicates that results are all spiritual, thus setting any dispute
over the results outside the jurisdiction of the courts
* it shifts responsibility for poor or missing results off of
Scientology/HDF and onto the consumer
* it creates confusion about the effort and compentence demanded of the
consumer. First it says that benefits are obtained ONLY as the result of
EXACT adherence to and understanding of the materials, then it says "I
will get out of it what I put into it." These statements are NOT
equivalent, though. The latter implies that if you give it a
half-hearted try, you'll get some results but not great results; the
former implies that you must give 100% effort AND compliance, and that
you must understand EVERYTHING, or else you may get no results at all.
]

I waive any claim against the Hubbard Dianetics Foundation, its agents,
employees, and affiliates and will hold them harmless from any related
or resulting cost or liability.

[Two questions: Why are clauses like this legal? and Why would anyone
sign such a clause?]

I understand that the Hubbard Dianetics Foundation relies upon my above
stated understandings and agreements in determining that I am qualified
to participate in the Service.

[A subtle reminder that Scientology (a/k/a HDF here) will determine who
may or may not have access to spiritual advancement, and they may deny
it to you based on whatever criteria they choose.]

I have voluntarily executed this Agreement this ___ day of ____, 1987.

[I think the effect of this sentence is more on the signer than on the
legality of the document. As I understand it - I am not a lawyer - a
contract is assumed to be signed voluntarily, and signs of coercion or
duress can nullify a contract. However, having the signer read and agree
to this statement can provide an internal reluctance to acknowledge,
later, any coercion or pressure the signer was under.]

Lisa has not attended study for (at least) four weeks. W/E 3 Dec 87 she
had 1 hour. Before that there were several weeks of no study.

She is not making it go right to get fully hatted which is not OK. The
future of the Division depends on her getting fully hatted and
functioning well on the post.

This should be investigated.

relevance is to Lisa's case.]

[This paragraph accomplishes several things:

to occur is to just change the damn name to Texas! It's a simple cycle
but you watch Robin, it's already been almost 2 years and I'm gonna have
to probably get on my horse and ride down to the capital, wherever the
hell that is and have a talk with these boys.

Anyway, back to the OW write up I was telling you about... I have
changed more people per square city block simply by doing this action! I
cannot understand why more Scientologists don't do it. Hell, almost
everybody that I couldn't stand and hated their guts and their mother's
guts too has practically turned into an angel. It's the wildest thing
how you can start off with somebody you truly can't stand (mostly
because their sight is so ugly it hurts to look at them) and they are
one of the most worthless and good for nothing individuals you ever saw
and when I write up my OWs they immediately if not sooner get their shit
together and start lookin' nicer too! I think [illegible].

Love, Lisa
